It is that time of year where the little boys and girls decide which classes they want/need to take for the following year. How does today's student decide which electives to take? Do their friends, parents, counselors or teachers have the most impact? Here at FR we have a multitude of classes so the choices must be difficult at times.
Some things to consider, from an educators point of view, what are your plans after high school? This should be the number one determinant in my mind. If you can take something that will improve your knowledge about a subject or your skills in a certain area you should take advantage of this opportunity.
The second suggestion that I have is to take a chance on something that sounds interesting to you. Stretch your boundaries a little, you may find something you like.
My final suggestion is do NOT take a class because you heard the teacher was easy or b/c your friends are. This is not going to get you anywhere and wont benefit you in any way. You have lots of time to loaf with your friends after school.
Good luck!
